Good For You Market began life as a small, market garden farm selling directly to restaurants and at area farmers markets in 2006. By January of 2007, ‘G4U’ Owners, Andy Meddick and Tom McGlone had completed their full-time relocation from the Baltimore/DC metropolitan area. Frustrated with the existing choice of food markets at the beach, and missing the specialty food markets of our urban areas to the north and west, Andy and Tom opened the ‘G4U’ flagship store close to their farm on Route 9 West in Lewes.

In their current location slightly off the bustle of the Route 1 beach highway, Good For You Market appears like a funky surf-shack from the outside. However, do not let this unassuming building fool you. Inside lies a gorgeous food market with prices positioned for value. Good For You Market is shaking off its crunchiness and continues to expand its product offerings and services, combining the best of the big guys without sticker shock. A three-time Best of Delaware winner, Good For You Market is sure to please those missing the likes of Trader Joes, Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, or even the smaller specialty markets of New York City and Pennsylvania.

Owner, and Store Manager, Andy, says he and his team of, "Yumistas" obsess with the details of product sourcing, farm practices, culinary technique, creative display, and sales. If you don’t want to come to the store, they’ll bring it to you through home or business retail deliveries, or through selling their farm produce and store products wholesale to beach area businesses.
